During your SmartSkin®+ treatment, Dr. Delgado and his team of Registered Nurses will deliver laser energy to the skin using the device’s hand piece. By adjusting the power settings, Dr. Delgado can determine the depth that the heat energy will reach: the higher the power, the deeper the micro-ablative laser columns will penetrate into the skin. A deeply penetrating treatment is excellent for treating moderate-to-severe wrinkles and creases, but may also result in greater downtime. Dr. Delgado will calibrate treatment based on your specific aesthetic goals and downtime considerations. His aim is to optimize results and minimize recovery time.
To ensure your comfort during the procedure, a topical numbing cream will be applied before starting the SmartSkin®+ treatment. A single session takes about 25-40 minutes to complete. Although significant improvement can be seen after one treatment, multiple treatments can be scheduled to obtain best results.
