Each year the San Francisco Chronicle has a wine competition, and this year there were over 7,000 entrants from 28 different states. This competition is considered the largest in the world for American wines.
The judges are selected from major wine regions to represent diverse backgrounds for the judging panels. The judges select just an exclusive few wines from thousands of entries.
The public tasting has been a favorite Bay Area event for many years; wine lovers get to taste wines paired with delectable hors d’oeuvres.
