CASE DESCRIPTION: This is a 51-year-old, female resident of San Francisco, California who presented to the San Francisco office at Union Square for evaluation for a facelift. Her primary complaint was sagging of the jowls and the neck region. She underwent suction-assisted lipectomy of her neck and a SMAS facelift, a SMASectomy, which is excising a portion of the deep layer below the skin. She also had reconstruction of the middle portion of her neck. Note how the lower facelift technique puts her entire face in balance since the lower face has aged faster than her upper face. Her procedure was performed at Marin Cosmetic Surgery Center in Marin County, California.
